Laura Heine Retreat: Presented by Quilt Show Reno (Single Room)

Registration and Welcome:
Registration and check-in will begin at 4:00 PM. On Sunday, August
16, 2026, we invite all participants to join us for a welcome dinner.
The evening will feature a trunk show and/or a ladies' show & tell,
providing an opportunity to connect and share creative inspiration
with fellow attendees.
Classes and Daily Schedule:
Classes will commence on Monday, August 17. Each day, instructional sessions will start at 9:00 AM and
continue until 4:30 PM. There will be a one-and-a-half-hour lunch break during the day to ensure
participants have ample time to relax and recharge. For those who enjoy early starts, the classroom will
be open at 7:00 AM. After class concludes, the classroom will remain accessible for an additional four
hours, allowing for extra practice or project completion.
Accommodations and Meals:
The retreat includes five nights of accommodation, with daily meals provided from Sunday dinner
through Friday breakfast. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM each morning. Lunch will be available from
12:00 noon until 1:30 PM, and dinner will be served at 6:00 PM.
Helpful Information:
On-Site Quilting Supplies-
During the retreat, participants will have access to a convenient pop-up shop located on site. This shop
offers a variety of quilting supplies, making it easy to purchase what you need without leaving the venue.
Transportation to Zephyr Point-
For those traveling by air, the closest airport is Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Upon arrival, you have
several options for transportation to Zephyr Point, including renting a car, hiring a local taxi, or using Uber. The most recommended way being the shuttle bus from the airport to Tahoe.
Each of these methods provides a straightforward way to reach the retreat location.
Traveling with Scissors-
If you plan to fly to the retreat, please note that scissors carried onto the plane must have blades no
longer than 4 inches. Scissors with blades longer than 4 inches must be packed in your checked baggage
to comply with airline regulations.
Venue Accessibility-
The retreat venue is thoughtfully designed to accommodate individuals with mobility issues. This
commitment to accessibility helps create an inclusive environment where everyone can fully participate
in all retreat activities.

| Instructor Bio: | Laura’s mix of artistic skills comes to play in her glorious art quilts. She has expert collage skills, and when it comes to cutting and pasting, her painting talents shine as she arranges fabric motifs to blend colors. Her quilting abilities are award-winning. Laura has created a candy-colored world where everything from cars to giraffes is adorned with beautiful florals. She now travels all over the United States teaching her technique and sharing the fun of ‘making’ with her students. |
